Nora agrees to go out for dinner with her professor but only in a bid to make up for her missing attendance for which he threatens to fail her.

Justin takes matters into his own hands and confronts Joe about the kiss he supposedly initiated with Rebecca. Joe immediately expresses remorse for his infidelity and plans to confess all to Sarah.

However, he later calls Justin and explains that he is unable to sacrifice their marriage and that if anything is to be said, Justin will have to be the one to say it.

Meanwhile, tragedy strikes for Kitty and McAllister as his junior speech writer dies in a helicopter crash. Kitty, realising that it could have been her and McAllister involved in the accident, is overcome with emotion and dramatically asks McAllister to marry her. Embarrassed and shocked by her own sudden proposal, she rushes off while McAllister is left speechless.

After telling Kevin what happened between Rebecca and Joe, Kevin tries to persuade Justin that she might be lying. Justin visits Rebecca to find out the truth but his obvious doubt over what she has claimed leads her to kick him out. Holly overhears the fight and when she finds out what has happened, she turns up at Sarah's office to warn her to keep her husband away from Rebecca.

Sarah asks Joe for the truth and he tries to explain what happened. He experiences a flashback of what went on and it is revealed that it was in fact Rebecca who subtly tried to seduce him.
