Nora hangs a family portrait on the wall of her home that doesn't feature Kitty, causing a conflict which highlighs the cracks in their already-fragile relationship. Nora also comes to blows with Kevin, as he feels pressured to accompany his mother to a golf outing rather than going on a date with Scotty.

Tommy finds Justin a job as a bellhop, but he is caught taking drugs on the job and is asked to leave early. Having noticed this, Tommy concludes that his attempts to help Justin are futile and refuses to talk to him.

Meanwhile, Sarah is unable to wake Paige, who is subsequently rushed to hospital and diagnosed with diabetes. Kitty comforts her sister, and promises to help her though the ordeal.
