Sarah and Joe attend marriage counseling in an attempt to solve their intimacy issues. Sarah immediately assumes the problem is linked to Joe's friendship with Vanessa, which Sarah believes he would like to take further.

At one of their counseling sessions, Sarah admits that she had previously contemplated having an affair with a former colleague. Joe refuses to attend further sessions and Sarah is unsure if they are able to salvage their marriage.

After a romantic date, Chad tells Kevin that he has broken up with Michelle so that they can be together without any complications. He also reveals that he will no longer conceal his sexuality for the sake of his career.

When Kevin gets home, he receives a phone call from Michelle, warning him that Chad has a history of seducing and using both men and women before dumping them and moving on. Kevin is left wary after the revelation, but continues to see Chad.

Meanwhile, there is good news for both Julia and Tommy when they find out that they are expecting twins. Tommy is keen to go into business with Holly and buy the vineyard which William had wanted Tommy and Sarah to invest in before he died.

Once he receives Sarah's backing, he goes to see Holly to confirm their partnership. He is shocked to finally come face to face with Rebecca, his father's love child and his half sister.
